Teen & Young Adult Life Coach · Bath, Maine

They shut down when you ask. They say they’re fine. Or they’re not fine at all — and you don’t know where to turn.

There’s a space between "everything’s fine” and “they need a therapist." Heart Harbor lives there.

Structured, evidence-based coaching for teens and young adults who are overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure what’s next. Not a waitlist. Not a diagnosis. Just a conversation first.

No commitment. Just a conversation.

Heart Harbor

Some teens and young adults have somewhere to land.

A trusted adult who keeps the door open, asks the right questions, and doesn't flinch when things get real.

Heart Harbor is that place.

Not therapy. Not tutoring. The space between "everything's fine" and "we need to call someone" — where a lot of kids are quietly living, and not many people are paying attention.

Coaching here is forward-looking and goal-focused. It's built around what your teen or young adult actually needs — confidence, direction, identity, communication, and the ability to get out of their own way. No diagnosis required. No waitlist.

Just a steady, judgment-free person in their corner.

For Parents

If you're reading this at 11 pm, wondering what kind of help your kid actually needs — you're not imagining it.

They shut down when you ask.

They say they're fine.

Or they're not fine at all — and you don't know where to turn.

This isn't a crisis. But it isn't nothing, either.

Coaching is for the kid who's right there in the middle — not in crisis, but not okay. The one who needs structure, perspective, and someone steady in their corner who isn't their teacher, therapist, or parent.

I've spent over 30 years working alongside young people — in classrooms, on pool decks, in communities across Maine. I know what it looks like when someone is struggling and trying not to show it.

And I know what can shift when they finally feel safe enough to let someone in.

For Therapists and Clinical Providers

If you work with adolescents or emerging adults and are looking for a coaching partner — someone who can support clients with practical, goal-focused, forward-moving work — I'd welcome a conversation about referral partnerships.

My role is not clinical. I work with young people on areas such as confidence, communication, follow-through, decision-making, resilience, and navigating day-to-day challenges more intentionally.

I hold a YCI (Youth Coaching Institute) certification, which grounds my practice in trauma-informed approaches, cultural awareness, and evidence-based methods for youth well-being. I maintain clear boundaries around scope of practice, and deeply respect the work therapists and mental health professionals do. When clinical concerns arise, they stay within the clinical relationship.

Coaching and therapy serve different purposes, and for some young people, both can be valuable parts of a broader support system.

For School Administration and Guidance Counselors

You carry a lot of students. Some are anxious, disengaged, overwhelmed, or quietly losing confidence — not in crisis, but not fully connected or thriving either.

They need space to build resilience, communication skills, self-awareness, and follow-through. They need someone who can help them reconnect with their strengths, navigate challenges, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.

That's where I come in.

I work individually and in small groups as an additional layer of support alongside the work you're already doing. My approach is structured, relationship-based, and grounded in youth development, emotional regulation, and practical skill-building.

I maintain clear boundaries around the scope of practice and collaborate appropriately when higher levels of support are needed.

If it would help to have another steady, student-centered resource available, I'd love to connect.
